The Middlebury Institute Is the clearing-house and organizational impetus for the North American secessionist movement. It has available a list of links to all North American secessionist organizations and a great selection of secessionist literature.
Second Vermont Republic Is a staunch advocate of Vermont secession. Is also supportive of the political notion of Novacadia, which it has referred to as New Acadia. Something for Maritimers to consider: Vermont secession has a 13% approval rating from Vermonters. Think about it.

Peak Oil
The Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas Founded by, who some consider to be the magus emeritus of the Peak Oil movement, Colin J. Campbell, this organization is likely the most respected in the field. Mr. Campbell is the author of The Rimini Protocol which advocates that oil producing countries not produce oil in excess of their present national depletion rate: i.e., roughly speaking, the oil burnt, expended or exported must equal the oil produced or imported. Furthermore, it would be required that importing nations stabilize their imports at existing levels. This would have the effect of keeping world prices in reasonable relationship to actual production costs and let developing countries afford their oil imports.

Hubbert Peak of Oil Production
From The Wilderness Although its founder, Michael C. Ruppert, has now slipped quietly off the scene, prior to doing so he left with the world his Peak Oil opus, Crossing The Rubicon. In that book he offers some sage advice for those about to take action in the era of Peak Oil, and the corporate and political adversaries that one will likely encounter. The advice is something to the effect of: "If you're taking fire from the tree line, the best way to avoid it is to run straight into it." Toss that one around for a while.
